Because my beloved iPhone ended up in the washing machine after I stupidly left it in the back pocket of my jeans. Luckily the insurance covers 90% of the cost. I am sad because tomorrow I won't be able to download and play with the new iPhone OS upgrade tomorrow.
And finally it's sad that we Europeans still cannot use Google Voice, even though it's now available via a web app on the iPhone

Time to get the Christmas fat off and get fit for the skiing holiday. So the best excercise is biking both for leg strength as well as for the ski posture which mirrors the same position of the hands on a bike.

If you ever wanted to know what/why and how this real-time protocol called PubSubHubbub (aka PuSH) can get near-instant notifications (via WebHook callbacks) but can't stand to listen to another boring "social media expert" explain it in technobabble then this video is for you.
FYI: PubSubHubbub is a simple, open, server-to-server publish/subscribe protocol as an extension to Atom.

Edge held the premier of their film wearethemoviepeople.com in Leicester Square. There was Lord Puttnam but highlight of the night was Henry Winkler aka The Fonz.
Below are a few photos of where I live in Cookham Dean. It's where "Wind in the Willows" was set and written. I often walk/run/bike in the woods and along the river with my dog.
I attended Social Media 09 an event organised by my friends Tony Fish and Simon Grice plus others. The event was really well organised and the venue was excellent but I have to be honest the speakers were passionate but I learnt nothing. This was an event aimed at Social Media newbees and/or PR executives.
That said it was good turnout especially with Stewart Townsend and his bright coloured shirt and pink jumper.
